FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
If you’re moving your care to a LivingWell Center, these answers will help you understand what to expect.
Who will provide my health care?
You will continue to see your current doctor. A nurse practitioner, nurse, and pharmacist are also part of your LivingWell Team. Together they can give you more time and attention and provide a more personalized level of care.
What is a LivingWell Center?
Your local LivingWell Center is your new medical home for doctor visits, prescriptions, x-rays, and lab tests. It’s designed specifically for the comfort of Medicare Advantage members, with larger exam rooms and lower, heated exam tables. In addition, you have the opportunity to engage in activities centered on preserving and enhancing your quality of life. Your LivingWell Center will provide:
Why is my doctor going to see me at this new place?
Your doctor is seeing all HealthSpring patients at LivingWell Centers in order to spend more quality time with them. Because your doctor will have extra help, he/she will have more time to talk through any issues or concerns you may have and make sure you get all of the immediate and preventative care you need.
Is there someone I can see if my doctor’s schedule is full?
Yes, you have access to other doctors at the LivingWell Center if your doctor’s schedule is full that day. Your doctor’s care team and covering physicians have complete, secure, and ready access to your medical record so they can respond to your needs with an understanding of your current health.
Can anyone see a LivingWell Care Team at a LivingWell Center?
LivingWell is a partnership between local physicians and HealthSpring. The LivingWell Team will only see patients with HealthSpring insurance, and LivingWell Centers are exclusively for patients with a HealthSpring Medicare Advantage plan.
Does all this extra service and attention cost more?
No. Everything is covered by your HealthSpring Medicare Advantage membership. All you will need to pay is your standard co-pay. All annual comprehensive physicals completed by the nurse and pharmacist visits do not require a co-pay.
How can LivingWell do this?
In an effort to allow for more time between you and your doctor, we designed LivingWell to provide as much preventive wellness and health care to you as possible. Quality, preventative care actually costs less in the long run.
